Wesway provides personalized respite care and support for family caregivers who are caring for their loved ones at home. Family caregivers play an essential role in our healthcare system, stepping in to fill important gaps and ensuring that those they care for receive the attention they need. It is estimated that 70-80% of all care is provided by informal caregivers, who are often the unsung heroes of our healthcare and social care systems. We recognize the challenges they face and the importance of offering them the support they truly deserve. We shape our services to meet the unique needs and preferences of each family caregiver.

Wesway enhances the well-being of caregivers by:

- advocating for a more responsive and inclusive community of care.
About Wesway's Board of Directors
Wesway's Board of Directors engages in a policy governance model, focusing on key responsibilities such as defining the organization's strategic direction, monitoring its performance, and ensuring accountability. The Board establishes clear policies to guide the organization's operations while supporting effective management of its resources. The Board plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the organization and ensuring that it continues to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
Board meetings are typically a 2-hour time commitment once a month. We also encourage our Board members to be involved in Board committee work and strategic planning events. This time commitment varies depending on the nature of the committee and event.
