Family Members and Caregivers

Anyone can make a referral to Wesway for a caregiver, including caregivers themselves, family members, friends, professionals, or community agencies. Caregivers who are caring for an adult with an Intellectual Developmental Disorder should contact Developmental Services Ontario – Northern Region.

Does the caregiver live in Thunder Bay, the District of Thunder Bay, or within Wesway’s service area in Northern Ontario?
Is the caregiver a family member who provides ongoing care and support to an individual, and do they live in the same family home?
Does the person the caregiver supports have an Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) and/or a physical disability and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Alzheimer Disease or related dementia, resulting in a significant dependence and ongoing care from their caregiver?
